Who I am
Dagmar Deboeck,
general practitioner and life coach/-talking therapist
I was trained as a general practitioner and enjoyed working as a GP for 12 years in a community health center in Brussels.
During this time I became aware that many people have symptoms that do not always relate to a particular disease, but rather point to other underlying problems which are hardly addressed during a consultation. However, it is often these problems that negatively affect health and well-being and thus require a different kind of therapeutic approach.

As a consequence I decided to change my approach to medicine, and have trained as a life coach/-talking therapist with lifestyle medicine as an important topic.
My goal is to provide the important supportive guidance for people who struggle with mental and/or physical (health) problems or other difficult challenges in their lives.

In addition, I also want to use lifestyle medicine, on the one hand to help improve health and quality of life, and on the other hand to encourage healthy people to have better health later in life.

I now do this with time, attention and passion outside of the strict rhythm of consultations as a GP.
